Sewanee Tigersharks Victorious Over Winchester Penguins in First Dual Meet of 2022 Season

    On Thursday, June 9, the Sewanee Tigersharks hosted their first in-person dual meet since the summer of 2019 against the Winchester Penguins. The Tigersharks won the meet 321 to 158.

    Tigershark Relays dominated the meet with first place finishes by the Mixed Medley Teams of Jack Roberts, Kyla Kilgore, Eli Summers, Arabella Barry (9-10); Will Roberts, Lily Camp, Konrad Knoll, Josie Stevens (11-12); Caroline Neubauer, Samuel Goodpaster, Will Turrell, Isabel Eko (13-14); Lucie Watch, Maya Mauzy, Toby Van de Ven, Archer Ladd (15-18). Additional first place finishes were taken by the Free Relay Teams of Bea Shealey, Lavender Berry, Aralyn Ladd, Suzy Camp (8 & Under Girls); Ian Brain, Axton Ladd, Cullen Thompson, Atticus Loose (8 & U Boys); Kyla Kilgore, Sophia Barry, Ella Brain, Arabella Barry (9-10 Girls); Josie Stevens, Maggie Lu Rudd, Jane Shealey, Lily Camp (11-12 Girls); Will Roberts, Archer Ladd, Sawyer Barry, Konrad Knoll (11-12 Boys); Sienna Barry, Sara Knight, Maya Mauzy, Lucie Watch (15-18 Girls); and Toby Van de Ven, Sam Goodpaster, Max Goodpaster, Will Turrell (15-18 Boys).

    Several new Tigershark Swimmers competed in their first meet against Winchester: Ayden (11), David (8), and Noah Allen (8); Liam (7) and Sophia Barry (9); Dexter Bittinger (7), Sophie (10) and Cece Brehm (7); Daniel Comoretto (8); Colette Conrad (6); Wallis DuMontier (9); Esme Hopwood-Meyer (8); Atticus Loose (7); Benjamin Rudd (9); Josie Stevens (11); and Amelie Watson (7). 

    The Sewanee Tigersharks compete again on Saturday, June 11 against Fayetteville Area Swim Team at 10 am at the Fowler Center Natatorium.
